Preserving Harford County’s Farmland For Generations

Preserving Harford County’s Farmland For Generations

Since 1992, Harford County has preserved more than 65,000 acres of farmland – and Pat Vincenti is proud to have played a role in that effort. During his time on County Council, Pat’s votes have helped protect over 10,000 acres and saved more than 100 farms right here in Harford County.

In this conversation with Greg Rose from Clear Meadow Farm (a Grain and Beef farm that is locally owned and operated by Dave, Nancy, and the Rose Family), Greg shares why this program matters so much to our farming families:

“I feel like it is a great program for us farmers – it allows us to purchase more farms at a valuable price so we aren’t competing at such high rates like with developers.”

Agricultural preservation isn’t just about land – it’s about protecting our best productive soils, supporting family farms, and ensuring the next generation can continue this proud tradition.
